GHANA and LIBERIA on free Roaming agreements to reduce calling costs
Ghana's telecommunications regulatory bodies and that of Liberia have started discussions on how to establish a free Roaming in between the two countries.
According to the Liberia Telecommunications Authority ( LTA), the initiative will mark the first step towards creating a system where mobile phone users in the two countries will be charged local rates during their visits.
This roaming arrangement will need carriers to develop commercial solutions, allowing the cost-effective implementation of these agreements in accordance with ECOWAS regulations.
